This company posted a 1 star review on our bar as we were forced to cancel their table booked for drinks for 15 people.
One week prior we were in contact and explained to them that we had had an enquiry for a private party of 200 people for that night and that we desperately needed to take the booking as business had been dire due to the pandemic and we were hoping we could move their booking.
We were hoping they would understand and encourage us as a local business to take the bigger booking.
We had 5 other small bookings that night and all of them kindly understood our predicament.
We done everything we could to accommodate their party on the night, offering a free bar tab etc, but they were just not willing to budge on the area that they had booked.
In the end we had to opt for the party as the business was desperate for funds. The lady we spoke with from day one kept saying she was going to post a negative review.
We are a bar that have been in the area for 23 years and this is our reply to their review.
This prior to the pandemic would never have happened but due to Covid we had to close our doors for 18 months. This hit our business hard and sadly we had no choice but to take the big party so to try protect our business and pay the bills. It’s a shame this company refused to be a little understanding and post a negative review.
